The Walk
Day 28
PARRAMATTA STADIUM TO CAMPBELLTOWN

Nana Torpedo
We left Parramatta at 8am. We were to pick up some extras today but they did not arrive. I did the first leg as usual then drove the next
two and did the leg into Liverpool where we were met by brother Neville and sister-in-law Emily joined by Mark, Mitchell, Tim, Jason,
Kelly, Brooke and Ryan. It was really good to catch up with them all.  We had lunch courtesy of the Parra Stadium. Kim David and the
kids, with Cath, Mark and children caught up with us in Liverpool and took turns to walk. After booking in to the accommodation I
rejoined the walk with David, Christopher, Mikayla and Cath who enjoyed the experience. We were met at Campbelltown RSL by the
President, Dutchy Holland and the Deputy Mayor of Campbelltown.  We said goodbye to Michelle (Legs around Sydney) today. It was
good to have her with us, I enjoyed her company. We were given a very nice afternon tea before returning to the hotel to settle in for the
night. We pick up a few more new walkers tomorrow so I had better go and sort out the paperwork.

Craig ‘Feathers’ Fothergill
Big walking day for all of us especially after Dennis’ breakfast of eggs, bacon and sausages and leftovers to take with us for lunch.
Found an old cannon relocated from Fort MacQuarie in old Sydney Town, a Memorial to all Servicemen and Women (Cabramatta, I
think) and a stockless anchor erected by the NAA (see plaque) in the gardens opposite the Campbelltown RSL.

Barry ‘Engines’ and Cathy Davis
A great walking day, plenty of toots from traffic during the afternoon. Afternoon tea at Campbelltown but unfortunately no large cheques
handed over (we live in hope). Stayed at Formule One. The first decent night’s sleep this trip.

Richard ‘Slug’ Lewin
Thanks to the people at the Parramatta Leagues Club for the breakfast and Dennis again for the cooking. Found Sydney to be very
dirty. Walking was good and on our arrival were met at the RSL by Tommy Johnson and Alex Paton and later joined by Tom, Janet,
Angela and Sam, many more lies and stories told and relived. Love to Di and the Family

Ray ‘Jock’ Copeland
Left Parramatta Stadium, 40k ahead a mix-up with accommodation meant I stayed at Tom Johnson’s place at Bargo. All the boys
drank heaps and woke up crook, except for Tom. Cast iron constitution.

Possum and Dale
Absent with or without leave. I am not quite sure.
