The Walk
Day 24
TOWOON BAY TO POINT CLARE (TS Hawkesbury)

Now bigger photos thanks to our webmaster Graeme Caesar although I, Craig ‘The Skimmer’ Fothergill can’t understand why we
would want the faces of our submarine friends any larger than they already appear.

Nana Torpedo

Well, Carol did say she would write her daily ditty after dinner, but, alas, she went for a lay down and we haven’t seen sight of her
since. Never mind, there isn’t much more we can share with you guys anyway, except that we are due to pick up a couple more at the
Berowra station tomorrow.

Craig ‘Feathers’ Fothergill
Was only going to be a short 26.5km today but due to roadworks and an uplift, reduced that even more so arriving at TS Hawkesbury at
1300. Not a huge photographic day either, but as you will note Graeme Caesar, our webmaster, has changed the way they appear
which is great. Forgot to mention some of yesterday’s photos were taken when I took a detour, whilst driving, to the Merchant Navy
Memorial at Norah Head.

Barry ‘Engines’ and Cathy Davis
A short walking day. Excellent accommodation at TS Hawkesbury. We are being spoiled. Not much donation gathering. Hopefully
Sydney and surrounds will open their purse strings.

Ray ‘Jock’ Copeland
Uneventful walk to Gosford. Because we were early, managed to get a few post cards out. Comfortable quarters at TS Hawkesbury.
Love to Jin and Chloe

Richard ‘Slug’ Lewin
A short walking day, not as far as we have been doing, but then again something to be thankful for. Pit Stop Paul had his three stops
and has now marked his territory from Newcastle to Gosford. There are not too many trees he hasn’t become acquainted with.
Love to Di and Family

Possum and Dale
The highlight for me today was the ‘very civilized morning tea’ we took at a lovely park on the waterfront. Coffee, tea, biscuits and
cake….lovely indeed.
Another beautiful start to the day a short 4.5 hr walk. Lots of footpaths so not much backing up required. TS Hawkesbury is right beside
the train line so could be a noisy night.
