| Day 12 |
| NAMBUCCA HEADS TO KEMPSEY Cathy (Mrs. Engines) - Everyone ready to leave at 0750 but crew from Rear Support Vehicle (Posssumdale) were still asleep. We left without them!! Jock (Copeland) - With regards to Possum's van, Very unfortunate! Possum - Dale tried a 3 point turn & unfortunately bumped into one of those monstrous 4 wheel drive (Tanks) - no damage to him but it busted our Port indicator light - more repairs needed!! Barry (Engines) - Fortuitously we stopped at a small school entering Kempsey & took happy snaps with the teachers & kids. Possum & Dale did a fine job trailing now that communications are sorted out (sort of, walkers comms ran out of charge) - but fortunately after a valiant chase back to the Supporting Van, who were ignoring Craig and my signals, Possum had spare batteries onboard. Craig (Minnie-the-Moocher/Feathers Fothergill) - Sorry to see the departure of "Mrs Bouquet and likewise Rod Gould. - They kindly lent a toaster, gas cooker and a few other bits & pieces to supplement the cooking facilities onboard the “Possumdale” to make life more enjoyable. Richard (Slug) Lewin - Good to catch up with "Bendy" & "Chainsaw" today again - some stories told & memories re-lived. Great day to walk and a lot of good people to walk with. No problems what-so-ever with the replacement hip. Dr. Wilson (no relation) did a great job. Keith "Dicko" Dickinson - Pleased to have done 15Kms today, best distance yet, working towards 20 by Saturday, before I head home. Carol (Nanna Torpedo) Wilson - To use one of "Bob's" sayings - "DITTO" to all the above. |
